The Institute grew out of the Palit Research Laboratory in Physics of the University of Calcutta (CU). Professor M N Saha came back from Allahabad in 1938 to succeed Sir C V Raman in the Palit Chair of Physics.
Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following permanent posts of LDC :
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) : 08 posts (UR-4, OBC-3, ST-1), Pay Scale : Rs. 5200 - 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900, Age : 18-27 years
Application Fee : Rs.100/- in the form of Bank DD in favour of Registrar, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, payable at Kolkata. ST/PWD/Female candidates need not submit any fee.
