Position : Senior Java Developer
Job Description:
Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing Java based web applications and must have extensive hands-on experience with Java (J2EE)
Skills Required:
- Design and develop web applications using technologies that include, but are not limited to, Java/J2EE, Hibernate, Struts, EJB, Sprint, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and SQL Server/ PostgreSQL/ MySQL
- Experience in Agile (preferably SCRUM) methodology
- Experience in working on complex enterprise applications
- Experience in writing SQL scripts and Functions/ Triggers
- Accountability for and completion of every agreed upon goal for all sprints.
- Must always act with utmost professionalism, maturity, and have the ability to work through disagreements in a positive manner.
- Must work well with others, both within and outside the team.
- Must keep technical knowledge up to date and actively work to apply this knowledge on project
- Must be able to perform under pressure
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Have exposure working for a US/ UK/ Australia based client
- Must be open to work at odd hours if required
Qualifications:
- Java lead with at least 4 years of experience
- Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
- Must be enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
- Passionate, self-directed and a champion for technology within the company.
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Master degree in Computer Science, or equivalent preferred.
- Insurance domain knowledge preferable.

Position : Postgre DBA
DBA Responsibilities :
1. Installation, configuration and upgrading of Postfre SQL server software and related products.
2. Knowledge of creating and maintaining Tables, Partitioning, indexes, Global Temporary Tables, Triggers, stored procedures
3. Experience in writing SQL queries (preferably nested queries).
4. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
5. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures on all instances
6. Monitoring, troubleshooting & resolution of failed tasks & database issues, taking action on issues reported by proactive monitoring setup and having a sense of urgency to fix issues ASAP.
7. Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
8. Setup replication modes on Psotgre Server
8. Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
10. Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
11. Maintain all Postgre SQL Instances
12. Implement and maintain alerts on Postgre Servers
13. Communicate one to one with client and team and take up ownership
Skills Required :
1. Expertise with Postgre SQL Server or MY SQL Server (with willing ness to learn Postgre SQL server other relational database systems.
2. Good working experience on Linux / UNIX platforms and familiar with Linux I/O, memory, filesystems and commands
2. Experience in installation and configuration of DB server on Linux / UNIX platforms independently
3. Knowledge of ALL backup and recovery scenarios.
4. Knowledge of the physical/logical database design.
5. Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
6. Solid English communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, and systems administrators.
7. Working knowledge on writing Nested and complex DB scripts
8. Hand on with Linux scripting
