Job Description :
- Help establish India design center for Companys N. American divisions in Bangalore, India.
- Recruit key engineering and support personnel in India expeditiously
- Define technical direction for the department
- Formulate yearly objectives and budgets
- Participate in product planning and development direction
- Serve as a technical contact for customer support issues, internal and external
- Mentor selected technical leaders in the department
- Collaborate with product management to form requirements document and matching development plans while developing phase roll out strategy to improve engineering rigor.
- Hands on technical leader of diverse AC DC and Renewable power sustaining engineering and design
- projects for Industrial grade products.
Job Requirements :
- Hands on experience as a Design Engineer 10 years.
- In addition Design, development engineering leadership managerial experience of 5 years
- Demonstrated experience in managing India center for N. America or EU head quartered enterprise in
- R&D Engineering. (IT/IS design center management experience WILL NOT BE APPLICABLE FOR THIS POSITION).
- Hands on management and design experience in electronics/power/back-up power hardware-software products
- Proper familiarity with MCAD ECAD tools and design capture practices (Solidworks, Mentor, and Altium).
- Familiar with power systems and embedded integration testing (DSP based, ARM based, PSim, Spice, C, C+, Lab View etc.)
- Sound understanding and experience in delivering application layer software solutions (JAVA, html5, database management analytics,
- cloud based users control and service practice etc.).
- Strong communications and interpersonal management skills
- Strong planning and management comfort level including program management to deal with diverse teams in N. America
- Management skills to drive organizational changes with collaborative approach
- Maintain good working knowledge of competitive market trends
- Adopt customers requirement changes while balancing organizations ability to adopt/deliver
- Proficient user of MS office, engineering tools, viewers and planning tools
- Familiar with engineering analysis and predictive tools-models.
