Job summary
The Red Hat Sales Reporting and Analysis team is looking for a Sales Reporting Analyst to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will perform sales analysis in support of Red Hat's executive team. You'll serve as the primary interface for renewals reporting, sales planning, and strategic analysis support, and report directly to Red Hat’s executive team and board.
Primary job responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and ongoing data validation, consolidation, cleansing, and maintenance, and prepare subsequent data and reports and analytics
- Cross-reference and reconcile data across different systems like Salesforce.com, financial and commissions systems, Oracle, etc.
- Complete all deliverables in a timely fashion, ensuring proper quality checks, analytic and business context reviews, and associate revisions
- Work under tight deadlines
- Develop an understanding of Red Hat workflows and an in-depth understanding of policies
- Work extended hours during quarter-end or year-end periods
- Bachelor's degree; equivalent degree at an accredited university or equivalent experience will also be considered
- 3+ years of industrial experience in data management
- Ability to understand and transform data to meet customers' needs and business context in a customer-friendly, quality-first manner
- Good analytical and quantitative skills, with an ability to work with large data while maintaining a high attention to detail
- Experience working with transactional reporting and CRM systems is preferred
- Proficient with spreadsheets
- Willingness to consistently work extended hours during periods of high demand, especially quarter and year-end; may include weekends
- Excellent communication skills, as well as focused and diligent in delivering results
- Passion about choice in technology, open source, and Red Hat
